WHY IS DOH COMPLIANCE SUCH A BIG DEAL?

Besides the extensive health benefits of passing DOH standards, Washington State legislature passed HB 1453 on March 14th, 2024, granting an exemption to the 37% cannabis excise tax on all DOH compliant products for qualifying medical patients. This law officially went into effect on June 6th, 2024, and will continue to remain in effect until it is revisited in 2029.

OKAY, WHAT MAKES A PRODUCT DOH CERTIFIED?

DOH Certification for cannabis in Washington State ensures compliance with rigorous health and safety standards. Products must have no more than the allotted amount of prohibited pesticides, mycotoxins, or heavy metals.
