Before You Begin Baking for Anyone

No matter what you make this year, be sure to clearly label anything that contains cannabis before serving it to your guests! Write down the serving size with THC potency so everyone can get just the right amount they crave for a perfectly buzzed-up holiday. Modify any of the above recipes as you see fit, like swapping out ribs or steak for chicken. The chili-lime cannabis butter is great on corn but pairs wells with grilled zucchini, eggplant, and even broccoli.

Cannabutter: Flower vs. RSO?

The recipe for cannabutter requires actual cannabis flower. For quality cannabis you can trust (no one wants to cook with residual amounts of pesticide and such!), we recommend using Passion Flower’s Premium Flower. Be forewarned that this process can take hours.

Making handmade cannabutter can be fun and rewarding, but if you’re in a rush, we recommend cooking with RSO. It’s already decarboxylated and just needs to be melted into some butter and thoroughly mixed!

Dad Deserves the Best!

Remember, the key to a successful cannabis-infused bake-off is to start low and go slow with the dosage. You can always ingest more, you can’t ingest less after the fact! And always be sure to label your treats clearly, so Dad knows he’s in for a delightful surprise.

So roll up your sleeves, grab your mixing bowls, and let’s make this Father’s Day one to remember with a sprinkle of cannabis-infused fun. Happy baking, and cheers to Dad!

1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar

Fleur de sel

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Confectioners’ sugar

Crème fraîche, for serving

1/2 lemon

  • THC-Mocktail Margarita to Celebrate Father’s Day

Oftentimes, there’s nothing like enjoying a beverage with your dad. The thing about Father’s Day is that it occurs on a Sunday. Have a drink with dad but on a sunday. Enjoy your time with dad, have a drink, and show up feeling your best for work tomorrow.

Ingredients

Lime juice: Freshly-squeezed juice, as always, plus feel free to use a slice as garnish.

Orange juice: I recommend freshly-squeezing an orange or purchasing 100% orange juice.

Passion Flower’s Ready-to-Mix Drink Mix (Margarita flavor): A serving is a singular 10mg pouch of our drink mix per person, but feel free to adjust that as necessary.

Agave nectar: Feel free to add however much or little you prefer, to taste. Or you are also welcome to use any other sweetener that you prefer, such as simple syrup or honey simple syrup.

Optional if you’d like some fizz: Sparkling water of your choice

Salt: If you would like a salted rim! Either coarse sea salt or margarita salt will do.

Directions:

Make the THC Drink Mix

In a pitcher, mix your preferred ratio of Margarita-flavored ReMix powdered drink mix. We recommend one packet for 16 oz. of room temp water. We recommend using room temp water because the powder dissolves quicker and more evenly that way. Once fully mixed, store in the fridge and let it sit for about 20 minutes so it can get nice and cool.

Make the Actual Drink

In a shaker, add ice. Then add freshly squeezed lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar, and your ReMix drink. Cap the shaker and shake vigorously until the beverage is fully mixed.

Next, grab a nice glass. Rub a lime wedge across the rim of your glass and dip the rim in some salt. Fill the glass to the rim with ice. Use a straining mechanism or lid to pour your mix from the shaker into the glass. And there you have it! A completely alcohol-free drink.

  • Infused Father’s Day Caramel Brownies

Imagine winding down after a long day with a late-night movie, a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting over a warm brownie. Why not treat Dad to a batch of special brownies this Father’s Day? Perfect for enjoying throughout the week while he unwinds with his favorite TV show and a late-night snack.

Our suggestion? Make the recipe with our 9 LB. Hammer + CBN RSO+ for an extra-special touch that helps Dad fall into a restful sleep. It’s the perfect way to ensure he enjoys an extra good night’s slumber after a day well-spent.

Ingredients

CARAMEL

1 1/4 cups sugar

3 tablespoons water

3/4 cup heavy cream

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 1/2 teaspoons flaky sea salt

BROWNIES

1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons Cannabutter

10 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

3 large eggs, chilled

1 cup all-purpose flour

Directions

Make the caramel

In a medium saucepan, cook the sugar with the water over moderate heat, swirling the pan frequently, until a dark amber caramel forms. Slowly drizzle in the cream, then whisk in the butter and sea salt. Transfer the caramel to a small bowl and refrigerate until thickened, about 2 hours.

Make the brownies

Preheat the oven to 325°. Lightly butter a 9-by-13-inch metal baking pan. Melt 14 tablespoons of butter, plus 2 tablespoons cannabutter in a heatproof medium bowl set over (not in) a saucepan of simmering water. Add the chopped chocolate, the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt and stir until smooth. Remove the bowl from the heat and whisk in the eggs. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated. Line the baking pan with parchment. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake the brownies for about 40 minutes, until a tester inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Transfer the pan to a rack and let cool completely.

Invert the brownies onto a cutting board and cut in half to form 2 rectangles. Spread the chilled caramel over 1 rectangle, then top with the other rectangle. Cut into 12 bars and serve immediately

Make Ahead

The caramel can be refrigerated for 2 weeks. The brownies can be refrigerated for 3 days or frozen for 1 month.

Notes

Each serving contains about 7.6 mg THC based on the Premium Cannabutter recipe and a 20% THC strain of cannabis. The psychoactive effects of THC can take 30 to 90 minutes depending on tolerance, though most people should not consume more than 10 mg at a time.
